While some notification or a panel may be a nice addition, neither of them fixes the original problem. If files are cut in Nautilus, the visual indication is needed _exactly there_ because of 2 reasons: * You may not even see the panel change or notification because it is on the opposite end of your desktop (which may be full of application windows) * You cannot see _where_ you cut the files if multiple Nautilus windows are open, easily leading to confusion if you switch between the windows.
