I am not able to upload images to my EOS 500D even through the command
line gphoto2 tool from jaunty repository. I always get error -2 "PTP
Parameter Not Supported".

However, that's another error and it is not related to the problem which
I describe in the description. Also, that's why I updated the summary,
becouse the unability to write on a device through gphoto2 protocol in
nautilus (except deleting files) is not limited by the EOS 500D in my
case. I cannot even copy images or create folder/file on my mobile phone
as I wrote, but I CAN do this through the command lime tool gphoto2 from
jaunty repository normally!

That's what the bug report is about.

btw, gphoto2 debug information from Canon EOS 500D (error -2) is
attached.
