Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

Ubuntu Jaunty (with all updates)
NetworkManager Applet 0.7.0.100
Thinkpad R51

I had two static connections in the wired networks section of NetworkManager.
After upgrading to jaunty these were lost so I added them again. Only after a
reboot they remained in the list (before that they always disappeared somehow).
Now I have these two connections and additionally two entries I don't
understand: ifupdown (eth2) and ifupdown (eth0).
According to dmesg e1000 is used for eth0 but eth2 does not appear. ifconfig
confirms eth0 as my wired network interface and additionally displays eth1
which seems to be my wifi adapter.

Now I face with the following issue:
After reboot or awake from hibernate the wireless network is always
(re)enabled. Additionally the last used wired network is not active instead no
one is selected.

I don't know which files or logs could help here so please guide me.
thx.

ciao Knut
