The problem is that you are invoking axiom without using the setarch function at the time you run it. This is not an Axiom problem but a problem with your SELinux permissions setup. Axiom needs to modify the heap (lisp does this normally) and the selinux system is blocking this. Turn off SELinux and it will work. Try running Axiom without SELinux enabled and let me know if the problem is cured or not.
