Public bug reported: Binary package hint: create-resources
Create resources says in its description: "The Create Project provides shared resources for use by creative applications such as Blender, CinePaint, the GIMP, Inkscape, Scribus, Audacity and the Open Clip Art Library." It actually only includes resources for use with graphics programs. It consists of brushes, gradients, patterns and swatches. None of this is any use to someone using audacity. It is also hard to see how the open clip art library is an application. I think this is a bit like keyword spamming. I don't know if it is any use for blender and cinepaint. Mostly it seems to be gimp brushes. Can inkscape and scribus use any of this? I think as a minimum audacity needs to be removed from the description. I think ideally we should check to see if all the listed programs can use this content too. Otherwise this package is just promoting itself when people search for audacity etc. ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Dependencies: DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: create-resources 0.1.3-2.1 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: create-resources Uname: Linux 2.6.28-13-generic x86_64 ** Affects: create-resources (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- create-resources claims to work with audacity but just graphics files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/389136 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
