Im also affected by this. Its not that the wireless device doesnt connect, it doesnt even appear listed in the nm-applet. Also, the hardware controllers dont show the broadcom controllers anymore.
As I had done for Hardy, I tried installing the b43-fwcutter package, but this didnt helped. To make it work, I had to use ndiswrapper, by downloading this file http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R174291.exe Extract it, install and run ndiswrapper: sudo apt-get install ndisgtk sudo ndisgtk And install bcmwl5.inf that is among the extracted files above. Of course, I needed to be connected to a wired network to do this. -- Broadcom Wireless BCM4311 (rev 02) not supported in karmic koala https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/378723 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
