Public bug reported: Description: Kubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04
dragonplayer: Installed: 4:4.2.4-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa2 Candidate: 4:4.2.4-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa2 Version table: *** 4:4.2.4-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa2 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net jaunty/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages What I expected to happen When playing a movie with dragonplayer, I expected the screensaver not to kick in after some time and ask me for a password. However, when not watching a movie, I would like the screensaver to start after some time and locking the desktop (that's how I configured it in the screensaver configuration window). What happened instead While watching the movie, the screensaver started up and locked the screen. Related bugs: Bug #312583: [Kubuntu 8.10][KDE4.2.BETA2] Display locks automatic, when watching a movie ect -> This bug is about the same subject, however, it has been marked as a duplicate of bug #321165 (Dragonplayer should inhibit suspension when playing a movie) that was marked with a "fix released". Reason given: "This bug was fixed in the package kdemultimedia - 4:4.2.1-0ubuntu1" However, As of KDE 4.2.4 (installed via the ppa repositories) this is still an issue for me. Bug #378510: While playng a video dragon lets the system go in stand by mode -> Related but this bug is not about the screensaver starting up but about the computer going into standby mode while watching a movie. ** Affects: dragonplayer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Dragonplayer should inhibit screensaver when playing a movie https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/388685 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
