Same problem here. Further more, at first when I tried to import the file, it threw an error stating that it wasn't a recognized pptp file. So I uninstalled pptp network manager, restart nm-applet, and then threw this same error: "Error: does not look like a Cisco Compatible VPN (vpnc) VPN connection (parse failed)." I think the "Import" option is not trying to recognize every possible VPN type profile too.
