I seem to have a similar configuration to Martin's. I'm running the latest patches for Jaunty (kernel info below). I've tried both a Sansa e260 with Rockbox installed and a Sansa e270 with the original Sansa OS. In both cases, the player toggles between the "Connected" and "Disconnected" screen 3 or 4 times before settling on "Disconnected". During this time the PC does not acknowledge the device.
