Hi TheMemphisE, This bug was reported a while ago and hasn't had any recent updates. Can you comment if this is still an issue with the most recent Jaunty 9.04 release which contains a 2.6.28 based kernel - http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download . If the issue remains please run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information:
apport-collect linux-image-2.6.28-11-generic 272367 Also, if the issue remains in Jaunty I'd suggest trying to install linux-backports-modules-jaunty which contains an updated compat-wireless stack.
