Dear All, i have one HP DV 3550 and i have the same problem.... pressing the key regarding the backlight brightness the luminosity is not be affected.
So if you disconnect the power cable, le brightness remain at 100% and doen't go to 60% as requested. If anyone as one idea. I hope in an update of ACPI or in the new 9.10 ubuntuversion.
