Yes I installed acpitool under jaunty.. It has an option to force the fan ON but it complained that the toshiba_acpi kernel extensions were not installed .... We have to figure out a way to modify this .. Also in my dmesg output I see Thermal Zone critical setting at 105C but I don't see passive temperature settings at all..
