I have exactly the same problem with my notebook and my HP PSC 750 printer: very often the last page of a print job is not finished and released until several minutes of waiting or until a new print job is started. This problem occurs with Ubuntu 8.04, 8.10 and 9.04 with the driver HP PSC 750 hpijs [en] (recommended). Instead with Windows XP the printer works normally.
