Could you run the following loop which outputs the number of lines in /var/log/Xorg.0.log every second and see if it increases when the screen blanks: `while true; do wc -l /var/log/Xorg.0.log; sleep 1; done`. If it does, it is a sign that some Xrandr call is to blame. You may also check if running `xrandr -q` makes the monitor blink. You may also want to try the updated stable drivers for Jaunty at https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates/ .
I actually have a similar problem sometimes, but I think that is some bad cable connection. Also, we would like the output of `lscpi -vvnn` attached to this bug report. ** Summary changed: - irregular screen blanking (every few seconds) + [G45] irregular screen blanking (every few seconds) ** Tags added: g45 intel jaunty xorg -- [G45] irregular screen blanking (every few seconds) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/377191 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
