After working with the package on a second machine, I can assert the following:
The package from http://www.comedi.org/download/comedi-0.7.76.tar.gz would not compile for me correctly under Jaunty. What did work for me was "Current Comedi CVS Snapshot" from http://www.comedi.org/download.html. It creates a file called comedi.tar.gz which does compile correctly under Jaunty. (32 bit). (following the directions at http://www.comedi.org/wiki/Installation_on_Ubuntu) My problem with comedi_record and KTimeTrace were related to the comedi driver (cb_das16_cs) for the pcmcia card I am using, which does not have the command interface implemented. With a PCI card (using the cb_pcidas64 driver), compiling from this source works without any problems, the kernel driver loads and configures and comedi_record works. Just a reminder, this is with libtool 2.2.6a-1ubuntu1 installed. -- Cannot install comedi-source on jaunty -- libtool (< 2.0) required but 2.2.6a-1ubuntu1 is to be installed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/356756 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
