Mailman 2.1.9 can be installed on an Edgy system using backports as follows.
1) Add the following to /etc/apt/sources.list: deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu edgy-backports main restricted universe multiverse 2) Run the following: sudo apt-get update apt-cache madison mailman 3) The above will give a list of available mailman versions.
