I seem to be having this problem on a Toshiba Satellite A200 1 GB. The
CPU heats up to 78C (in Windows it never gets past 70C) at max usage,
then the laptop shuts down. Sometimes it even refuses to boot for
several minutes after I shut it down (presumably until it cools down). I
can confirm this began happening when I upgraded from intrepid to
jaunty.

It can't be a dust problem because the laptop was cleaned less than a
month ago. Also, it runs fine on Windows Vista at full load.

I should note that even setting the CPU scaling governor to powersave,
the problem persists. This renders the machine pretty much unusable
until the problem is fixed.

I'll be more than happy to provide you with more information if you
request it.
