Public bug reported: When I had Ubuntu 8.10 the embedded Open Office writer worked fine. When I upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04, I noticed it has a problem in its embedded writer. The problem is "false/unwanted layout switching". I use both Farsi and English layouts on my system. when I want to write the following phrase for example, به نام خدا it switches to "English" after "به" and it become something like this: به khl onh Then I removed the embedded Open Office suite and downloaded the full package from "http://download.openoffice.org/" and the problem solved.
This problem has repeated for me on several computers. I noticed this problem when I installed Ubuntu 9.04 for the first time on a new computer and when I upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04 through Internet or through "alternate CD". ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- false layout switching in embedded OOo writer of Ubuntu 9.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/384286 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
