No sound on my ThinkPad Z60m.  Had no problem in Hardy, Gutsy, Intrepid,
but now -- right after my "upgrade", I get this:

$ cat /proc/asound/cards
--- no soundcards ---

Trust me, there is an HDA Intel soundcard.  In fact, they were seen (but
not heard) until this morning, when KDE said they had disappeared, and
Did I want to delete them from memory?  Now all I have in Volume Control
is Pulse Audio.

And they wonder why Ubuntu is less popular than Windows.
