Public bug reported: When my laptop is shutting down, if I unplug it (and maybe also if I plug it), it never shuts down.
What happens : - I click on "Shut down" in my Gnome session - I unplug my laptop - After the Ubuntu splashscreen is removed, I have a empty console (TTY 8) with just the blinking cursor - Here's the last line of TTY 7 (notice that there's not an [OK] or [fail] * Stopping MySQL database server mysqld - If I plug the laptop, the following line appears in TTY 8 : * Starting anac(h)ronistic cron anacron - If I unplug it again, the following line appears (also in TTY 8) : * Stopping anac(h)ronistic cron anacron And I can make them appear several times, until I'm tired and I shut down the laptop with the power button. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: laptop shutdown -- Laptop doesn't shut down when unplugged https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/383681 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
