Karmic xorg intel 2.7.99.1 latest update as of today, tried KMS and it still fails on i845 with invisible cursor with modeset = 1.
Running now with modeset = 0, rather slowly with GtkPerf 42 seconds while VESA runs faster in 27 seconds. Is there any plan yet for Ubuntu to try the Red Hat Bugzilla 488980 fix? It's in the kernel.
