Hi I`m experiencing the same problems described for this bug, I was able to install using the alternative cd however once the installation is completed It runs it trouble. When I restart my machine I get to login screen but seconds latter it crashes either blocking and keeping the image or by going into a blank screen, in both cases I`m unable to press any keys and it just responds to a reset button press. If I choose at grub failsafe option I get to command line from where if I type "startx" I can get in and everything seems to be working fine so it lead me to believe the problem is somehow related to gdm login module.Also if i change my bios AGP from 8x to 4x I get the same bug but I hear the login sound and sometimes i can type my user and password but soon after that it crashes. So can anyone help me solve this problem.
