If you've already updated you could recreate the before part by using a live CD. -- Codec: VIA VIA VT1708B 8-Ch - VT1708B Analog audio device - Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP67 High Definition Audio (rev a1) - working via speakers but not via headphone jack on Asus M2N-CM DVI motherboard in Ubuntu 9.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/381297 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. Status in “linux” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I have an Asus M2N-CM DVI neat mobo with on-board sound. Since my install can no longer use the front jack to hear headphone sound. There is sound from the speakers though. I have changed the mobo bios setting from hd front sound to ac but no joy. I can only hear a faint headphone sound if I put the jack in the back of the pc where there is the mobo sound output. Moral of the story have to go back to 8.10. Any clues? Seems as if the jaunty does not recognize the hardware? I tried to get rid of pulse to no avail. -- Codec: VIA VIA VT1708B 8-Ch - VT1708B Analog audio device - Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP67 High Definition Audio (rev a1) - working via speakers but not via headphone jack on Asus M2N-CM DVI motherboard in Ubuntu 9.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/381297 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
