I have the same problem both on Intrepod 8.10 and Jaunty 9.04 with totem-gstreamer plugin.
I need this badly because when my grandfather watches a movie on bestrussiantv.com and it gets interrupted, he has to restart it and position to where he got dropped, but the slider on Totem stays dead.
