Open terminal window on primary screen. tail -f /var/log/Xorg.0.log Open another terminal window in the other screen, hold down the shift key with a wedge of paper and you will probably see errors in the other terminal windows. Leave it like that and after a while the mouse pointer might be constrained to one window. This can be released as described by ALT-dragging a screen around for a while. Grab the window and madly drag it between screens until X crashes.
