Public bug reported:
Pushed the Fn-F4 key combination (bound to suspend on a ThinkPad) while
the gnome screen saver locked the screen. The suspend light started to
blink, and stayed that way for much longer than suspend usually takes.
Keyboard and mouse were dead.
