I am running Jaunty 9.04 release and the last time I used Totem to watch a DVD, sure enough there were my favorite horizontal lines. I then proceeded to use Mplayer and setup deinterlacing and all was well again. Perhaps I am missing something to get Totem to play properly but I can tell you that it didn’t automatically deinterlace my video.
