Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-do

I’m aware that non-composite users are considered second-class from
GNOME Do 0.8 onwards¹, but it would be really helpful if either the
background colour of the sole skin that we’re still allowed to use¹ was
configurable or at least the background colour chooser was disabled when
in non-composite mode (much like ‘Show window shadow’ and ‘Animate
window’ are disabled). The current situation (bronze background that
can’t be changed, even though the control is operable) seems sub-optimal
to say the least.

¹ yes, I know, patches welcome – and being an open source developer
myself I do feel for you; I’m just cranky because the mini skin worked
so well for me in Intrepid’s non-composite GNOME Do and I can’t use
composite in Jaunty because the Intel drivers suck (and the composite,
while being quite fast, is this tiny bit less responsive that I can tell
outright if I’m on composite or not)

** Affects: gnome-do (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
