I have not gotten much of a response from either; lauchpad.net, linuxquestions.org or ubuntuforums. I am hoping the Ubuntu Laptop team has some kind of solution. I got it to resume correctly once when playing around with the /etc/defaults. Kept the settings and second time didn't resume and so on.
