Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-do
When right-clicking on, for example, the gnome-terminal icon in docky you receive a context list showing all the terminal windows you have open. However, the width of the context menu is far too narrow to show any useful content. For the terminal example, the user is simply presented with a number of 'u...@user-laptop.....' entries, with no way of telling one from the other. Standard gnome-panel, when configured to group windows, correctly displays the entire title of all terminals on the context menu. This is especially a problem if the user is using a >96 dpi setting for their monitor properties as even less text is visible. Docky should either have no limit on the width of these menus (dynamically adjusting to fit content), or should dramatically increase the fixed width, or should allow the user to set a preference determining the width.
