Could you post the .csv, please.  The character that represents the '-'
is not actually a '-'.  It is a different ASCII character throwing off
the actually value.  If you manually replace the funky character with a
'-' it works.  I changed the package to R since I suspect it is the
culprit, not OpenOffice.
