I´ve been thinking about how to do this and it occurred to me, the gnome terminal supports alpha transparency, could an application be written to start in full screened mode and all it is is a translucent colour?
Thatś how a very simple and basic work around might work, however many of these programs tint parts of applications without tinting the rest of an application or not touching the desktop. It could be that a customizable dyslexic friendly theme could be created, unfortunately I am not a good enough programmer to experiment with either options, but am still seriously thinking about how to implement something which could make a great deal of peoples life on linux easier. Its also worth noting that in the UK the government spends money to give people who suffer from dyslexia computers which have this software installed, we may be able to capture a niche market if we have such software installed and configurable by default. -- Dyslexia support screen tinter. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/272161 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
