Ok I've been trying several things and here is what I can say: - this problem is not related to keyboard and mouse connected to the same external usb hub, since I had it with the mouse only - this problem happens only on one of my hub: D-link DUB-H7 ports USB 2 hub. I've got another 4 port hub and it does not happen on it - I've found many other related bus/posts, the most interesting are: - https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124406 : most likely a duplicate, very active since jaunty! - http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-usb-us...@lists.sourceforge.net/msg18199.html : interesting message from an old active thread So since the first of these links goes to an active and mostly duplicate bug report, I'm switching to that one from now on.
