Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Several points:

1. The disk selector shows a drop-down menu even if there's only one
disk.

2. Disk selector is a sub-item of "Use entire disk", although it
actually affects the entire partitioner. It should be near the top, and
not in a hierarchy.

On top of that, it's actually grayed out if you select one of the other
options. To install side-by-side on the disk that's not selected by
default, you have to click "Use entire disk", then select the disk, then
go back to "Install them side by side".

(Actually, this isn't entirely true, since it's selectable when you
first see it, but if you click "Use entire disk" and then select
"Install them side by side", it THEN becomes grayed out...)

3. Instead of a drop-down, it should use a selection box, with
scrollbars if there are lots of disks. Show all the disks at once so
the user realizes more clearly what this selector is doing. There's
plenty of vertical space to expand this. This would kind of moot point
1, too.

4. It should show the human-readable part of the disk's identification first,
and then the partition number and
other technical information in parentheses.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
