I can second that of Mr. Lorenco Trichardt above for both Jaunty and Karmic. Using the ath5k default of Kubuntu 9.04 updated as of today, the log is filled with the same "failed to set fr....". Experiencing the same issue with Karmic alpha 1 updated as of yesterday too.
