Dont think this is fixed properly:

I am still having this problem on 9.04 for upgraded and new
installation.

On my upgraded amd64 I have libpam-smbpass installed and it is the
lastest version.

On my new install 32bit laptop I dont have libpam-smbpass installed and
there are no entries for pam_smbpass.so in common-auth (auth optional
pam_smbpass.so migrate) and no entries in common-password(password
optional pam_smbpass.so nullok use_authtok use_first_pass).
