Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 (AMD64 version).
As it is known, ====quote==== A new integrated notification system appears in Ubuntu 9.04 for the first time. ====end ===== By default this new notification system behaves adequately and announces appear close to system tray area where they're expected to be. By default with usual Gnome 2-panel design this is upper-right corner of screen (where Gnome's tray located by default). The only problem is that I dislike this 2-panel gnome design and reconfigured it too look like usual single-panel designs with task bar at the bottom of screen (like in KDE, Windows, etc). And I also put tray area in according place as well of course. That's where I got quite stupid issue: notifications are still appear in upper-right corner of screen. As for me, it looks quite strange and inconvenient to see notifications far away from tray area and panel. And I failed to find any user-friendly methods to reconfigure appearance of these notifications. It is obvious I want to have them at bottom-right corner of screen near to system tray area. However I can't easily reconfigure this behaviour. It will be great if it will be possible to easily re-configure where these new notifications will appear via some simple UI located in some obvious place. Screen shot will be added to explain problem better. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- There is no simple way to change place where system notifications will appear https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/379852 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
