Hi, I have had the same problem and it still happens with latest Ubuntu (9.04). I could also add that using the checkbox for "copy the remote calendar for connectionless use" (I don't know what the checkbox says in English) in calendar properties is not enough, I have to manually make a copy and use that for synchronization to my phone. I have to use a remote (exchange) calendar in my work environment, so this is quite annoying.
