Same situation here (Kubuntu Intrepid, dbus-daemon currently at 400M). Unfortunately the mentioned possible workarounds do nothing for me: I don't run vino-server or Akregator, I've disabled Akonadi, and I've stopped using Amarok due to this problem. This is really an unpleasant situation... I can't run most of the KDE goodness, and I have to logout/reboot every 1-2 days. Any clues about how to track this down or avoid it would be greatly appreciated.
