Dave, yes I replied that bug, but this time the situation is a bit different. On bug #350746, my problem is that while I boot on AC-power, battery status is missing only if I boot on battery, and switch to AC after boot, or I unplug AC power after boot and re-plugin the battery info appears.
This must be a new bug. I vaguely remember it starts since I use ubuntu 810.
