Perhaps I can get some discussion on this. I'm getting feedback that
/usr/bin/python may be the better way to go (for the user not the
developer.) Not sure if I should unsubscribe sponsors or not. I don't
see this as a major issue right now so we could simply sync now and
update later. The issue which leans me towards directly calling the
interpreter is making sure the correct python is getting called (the one
the package was built against.)
