The command would be apt-cache policy openoffice.org-core If you're using Ubuntu 9.04, the version in Jaunty's repo is OO.o 3.0.1-9ubuntu3. Where did you get OO.o 3.1 from? I wouldn't expect Ubuntu devs to fix something like this.
