Binary package hint: cups
I have an Epson Stylus Photo 1280, and none of the maintenance functions are
available in the Properties for that printer:
- Print Self-Test Page button is greyed out
- Clean Print Heads button is greyed out
- Ink Levels are not reported
I am running Ubuntu Jaunty with all of the updates applied. The device URI is
usb://EPSON/Stylus%20Photo%201280
The Make and Model is Epson Stylus Photo 1280

Note that mtink will perform all of these operations, without sudo
