As you can see by my entries above I have executed apport-collect after having a couple of attempts printing with the Canon Selphy CP720 on a Jaunty machine. As a side note it makes only one pass through the printer and stalls there (with a white piece of paper hanging out of the printer), after a while the "print status" reports it is done printing.
I have not attempted running this printer on Hardy with the gutenprint 5.2.2 deb as I concluded: if it doesn't work in Jaunty with gutenprint 5.2.3 it won't work on Hardy with gutenprint 5.2.2. I am a little hesitant at installing third party deb files (although they seem trustworthy) on a (company) machine I do not own. If the 5.2.3 drivers would have worked on Jaunty I would have tried 5.2.2 on Hardy (but alas they didn't). I will experiment on Hardy if more information becomes available. Hope the information I provided is useful, and please inform me if and how I can be of further assistance. -- Canon Selphy CP720 - not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292016 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
