I just tried with the Feisty Fawn herd 2 LiveCD. Things seem to be better, though not actually working.
The Network control panel (and ifconfig) list 2 new wireless devices (wlan0 and wmaster0). Configuring them doesn't make any difference. I installed network-manager and started it and the applet without a (LiveCD) restart. It correctly shows only 1 new wireless device (wlan0) and successfully found my local networks. However, it can't actually connect to my network. nm-tool lists the strength of all networks as 0%. ** Tags added: fesity ** Tags added: feisty ** Tags removed: fesity -- rt2570 driver fails to recognise ASUS WL167G https://launchpad.net/bugs/53221 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
