As for me it looks strange enough to offer to users some....er, "unusual" Italian fork/mod instead of original aMule "by default" via Add/Remove.
Looks like this fork has been created by Italian people to address specific issues of Italian users of specific ISP which uses non-standard network configurations preventing usual aMule from running properly. This fork is not properly localized, uses uncommon or Italian-language words, lacks proper English homepage and English documentation. Hence from my standpoint it is unacceptable for general public. I'm for example able to read English. But I have no knowledge of Italian language. So I can't even read changes log against of original aMule.
