Sorry, I'm a bit confused by your UPDATE and the UPDATE of the UPDATE. Is this
fixed for you or does this still happen.
If your DVD drive is still not found, can you pleaese open a terminal and run
dmesg > dmesg.log
and attach the resulting file 'dmesg.log' to this bugreport.
