hi timk, from [0] I can see that version 4.2.3 of KDE is not in any official archive of ubuntu. Where did you get this packages from? Did you enable the kubuntu-ppa? As you are using software which is not officially supported, I'm marking this bug as Invalid for ubuntu. Please report this bug to the people who provide this package.
