I will have to try get more debug. Mine also crashed with signal 11. I had set the screen mode to 1024x768, and clicked apply, then went to the screen mode dialog again, and then hit apply as there was nothing else I wanted to change. It then promptly hung. However, more useful may be https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash which has methods of getting a dbg package for the application and its libraries. I will now use this, and try the app again.
