Public bug reported:
During a shutdown, it was taking very long time to shut down ALSA (more
than 5minutes), so I pressed the power button to shut down the system.
After that, my sound is gone. When I went to "System-Pref-Sound" and
changed from "Autodetect" to "OSS", I have sound on some applications
(totem), but not all(amaroK does not work). I tried "System-Admin-
Services" and noticed that ALSA settings was unchecked. I checked it and
I had sound for some time. But after shutdown that time, and rebooted
the machine there is no sound again.
